Happy new year! After a number of new releases of LiftRep in 2018, I’m planning on hopefully increasing the frequency of new features and fixes in 2019. To start, LiftRep 2.6 is now available in the App Store with a new Export Training Logs feature- you don’t need a LiftRep account anymore to get a CSV export of all your training logs for your own analysis and record keeping. How can LiftRep help you meet your 2019 fitness resolutions? Let me know in the Feedback & Support section!
By popular request, color Themes are now available in the Settings screen of the latest release of LiftRep, version 2.4 now available in the App Store! Choose from Midnight, Graphite, or the original LiftRep color scheme. Have other ideas or requests for a theme? Send them my way in the Feedback & Support screen!
It has been a long time coming, but there is finally a new release of LiftRep in the App Store! This release fixes some critical bugs and optimizes the screen for full iPhone X support. But there’s an even bigger reason why this is now version 2.0- LiftRep has been almost completely re-written in Swift specifically for iOS 11 and beyond. This sets the groundwork for finally introducing new user-requested features into the app. Add and vote for your suggestions in the Feedback & Support section in the app! I first started developing LiftRep as a personal project back when the iPhone was still on iOS 5 and I owned the iPhone 3G. It was first released in the App Store on iOS 6 just before the big user interface switch to iOS 7. Re-writing the app has allowed me to jettison a ton of old code related to non-Retina screens, bugs in older versions of iOS, and now-abandoned and unsupported third-party libraries. So, what’s next for LiftRep? Graphs of your progression? A plate calculator for loading weights on the bar? HealthKit integration? It’s in your hands now, so head over to the Feedback & Support page to get involved, and let me know what you think! And if you encounter any crashes, bugs, or other issues, hit Contact Support and send me a private message and I will respond to you personally. Thanks for your support, and if you enjoy using LiftRep, please add/update your rating and review in the App Store- it’s the best thing you can do to support the app…! Sincerely, Francis
Well, as a developer I’ve been living with the final release version of iOS 11 for the past week on my iPhone SE, and I’m happy to say that LiftRep seems to work just fine on all current deviceswithout any need for a new release. That being said, we’ve got a new form factor coming up with iPhone X, so I’ll be looking to make a new refresh release around that time! I’ve been maintaining LiftRep since iOS 6, and don’t intend to stop anytime soon- even better, I’ve started slowly working on rewriting LiftRep to make it easier to maintain and, hopefully, add new features moving forward If you encounter any issues with LiftRep on iOS 11, as always, post in the Feedback & Support section for help!
